Accreditation Review

LTSS is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools, an organization of more than 250 graduate schools in the United States and Canada that conduct post-baccalaureate degree programs to educate persons for the practice of ministry and for teaching and research in the theological disciplines.

Accreditation is conducted by the Commission on Accrediting of the ATS and affords the public the assurance of a standard of educational and institutional quality and a process for continual improvement. Accreditation reviews every 10 years examine a school's institutional and educational practices in light of the Commission's rigorous standards. Based on visits to the school and subsequent reports, the Commission accredits institutions and approves the degree programs they offer.

LTSS will receive an evaluation committee visit this coming spring (2013) and invites comments from the immediate seminary community and seminary constituencies concerning its qualifications for accreditation.
