Housing

Student housing at LTSS is great--spacious, comfortable, and best of all affordable.  Living on campus means that you are always just steps away from your class, friends, library, even professors who live on campus.  Choose from modern apartments, quiet townhomes, or the historic and charming residence hall.

Hillcrest Apartments

The newest addition to our on-campus student housing (opened in 2005) features ten attractive buildings, landscaping, a children's play area, community outdoor cooking area, and on-site parking. Located just off of Arlington Street, the Hillcrest Apartments are just across from the library and the seminary's pecan grove.

There are four apartments in each building, each apartment with a private balcony. Apartments are two-bedroom and three-bedroom. All apartments include range, refrigerator, dishwasher, disposal, and washer/dryer. Designed for both student and family, each bedroom has its own full bathroom.

Smith Family Village

Located at the corner of Wildwood Avenue and North Main Street, Smith Family Village opened during the fall 1999.

These are exceptional two-bedroom and four-bedroom townhome-style apartments. There is also one handicap-accessible apartment. Each apartment has a study loft, dishwasher, and washer/dryer.

The gated housing area is perfect for young families and students wishing to have a little more space. There is a playground for children in the courtyard. Friendly dogs and barbeque grills are commonplace in the village. There is also a community room for programs and gatherings.

Beam Residence Hall

Beam Hall is located in the center of campus, right next to classroom buildings, the student union, and chapel. Rooms in Beam Hall are furnished with bed, desk, bookcase, dresser, and mini-blinds. The telephone (local calls) with voice mail is included in the cost of the room. Students may choose one- or two-room units. If you have a roommate you may request a three-room unit. Two lounge areas include cable television. The dormitory is co-ed.

Kitchens are provided on both floors of the residence hall.  Laundry facilities with coin-operated washers and dryers and a full fitness facility are located on the first floor of the campus union. Lunch is served in the Campus Union during the week.
